Pickard will be back in the dub. Their AHL tandem has already been confirmed as MacIntyre and Dekanich.

LA signs Doughty to 3-year entry-level
Avs sign Nigel Williams and Tom Fritsche to entry-level contracts
Preds sign Chet Pickard to 3-year entry-level
Sens sign durable prospect D Geoff Waugh on a one-year two-way
Of these, Pickard is the most unexpected, with Ellis, Rinne, MacIntyre, Dekanich and Jeremy Smith already signed as well. I think Smith and Pickard can still be sent back to their junior teams for another year, so this may be a message of \'we\'re willing to be surprised by you in camp\'.
Rebulding in two lifetime keepers, squads to follow ...

There was certainly no rush on Pickard - why would they sign him? They have two years. His agent must have pushed it, expecting a bad year maybe?

the contract doesn\'t kick in until he plays pro hockey. He will be back in the WHL, lots of other prospects sign deals like this and then return to junior.
