Monahan
Turris
Spezza
For me. Monahan is a bit of a risk (unproven, due for a decline), but I can't deny his upside and don't mind his downside
Please rank these C's in a one year H2H league with the following cats: G, A, P, +/-, PIM, PPP
Monahan
Turris
Spezza

Monahan is the sexy pick here given his break out party last season with the Flames. IN a keeper he would be a no brainer, in a one year league tougher call.
Turris would seem to be the more reliable pick.
Spezza a bit of Band-Aid boy!

Monahan and Turris are a coinflip, Spezza definitely 3rd. Monahan is the riskier pick so it would depend on the rest of my forward depth.
If im loaded and need a 60 point center, i go with Turris. If i need a 70 point center to sniff a win in the league, I would pick Monahan.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
Monahan
Turris
Spezza
I don't think the difference between Monahan and Turris will justify Monahan's draft ranking. He'll probably be taken 5-6 rounds before Turris strictly because of the hype.

I thought Spezza's elite PPP production would have made this closer.
Player A: 24g, 40a, 64p, +5, 36 PIM, 16 PPP, 19:13toi, Yahoo Final Rank 50 (incl. SOG)
Player B: 17g, 45a, 62p, -7, 28 PIM, 26 PPP, 17:13toi, Yahoo Final Rank 56 (incl. SOG)
Player C: 31g, 31a, 62p, +8, 12 PIM, 19 PPP, 19:37toi, Yahoo Final Rank 63 (incl. SOG)
I mean... that's damn close.
And I think it is really, really close.
So you pick the guy that can stay healthy and gives you best trade value.
Personally, I like Monahan/Spezza.
I'm a fan of Turris too... he's solid, but I just can't resist what I think will be an insane DAL PP unit.
Dallas scored almost 30 more goals than Ottawa last year and Turris still produced more than Spezza, especially a lot more goals. Plus, Turris will play the full season whereas Spezza is a wildcard. Spezza's role is that of a second liner, and there's only one puck to go around in Dallas.
i'd also go Monahan/Turris/Spezza. Actually I probably wouldn't draft Monahan because he will go early as another poster said and Turris will be underrated.
Spezza has highest upside in a one year league. Finally gets a legit winger in Sharp, plus time on PP1 with the likes of Seguin, Benn, Sharp, Klingberg. Very dangerous.
Monohan is 2nd to me, I just see the Flames regressing and don't see him improving much.
Turris has pretty low upside and crappy peripherals, doesn't belong in the conversation of the other two imho
No worries we can all differ in opinion, but the pp argument was true this past season as well so I don't see anything changing by much for Spezza. Sharp doesn't add that much to the pp and seguin, Benn and king berg will be getting most of the points. I don't see the upside for more than what he just did, or 65ish, as he wont have the minutes and he's always an injury risk especially as he ages. It's not his team and he's not the number one centre, so I would say he has more upside only if there are injuries up front. Turris and Monahan will get more minutes, turris is a mainstay on PP1 with Karlsson and Monahan had a good 19 PPP on a team without giro damo majority of season.
As for peripherals, turris and Monahan will have way better plus minus In my opinion, and turris had the most PIM last year even though that's a fluley stat for any of these guys, so I'm not sure where crappy peripherals part comes from?
