Farm team: what should I do?
Just looking for your input for the farm team we have in the league in sig....we are limited to 5 players....I actually have Vas, Gibson and Mantha....
Should I keep both Vas and Gibson on a 5 players farm team?
We don't have any move on the waivers during season so that we have to fix our roster with our farm team in case of injuries....
Should I keep 1D in the farm?
I was thinking about 2G and 3 Fwds.....what's your take on this?

I would keep what you have there and add 1 D and 1 F. If there aren't any high end D prospects go ahead and grab 2 F.

I would also keep Vas Gibson and Mantha and add 2F, unless you can land a D of the like of Provorov

No way you let either Vas or Gibson go. I would trade Mantha if you can, he's a little overrated. Struggled mightly his first year pro in the AHL. May be a harsh assessment but other less touted players played far superior to Mantha.

Also, guys like Evander Kane, Brobovsky, Luongo with higher salaries are also available on FA.....I actually plan to drop Staal and maybe Parise to scoop one of those cheaper options....As for Bob, I'm thinking about switching Schneider for him even if he's 2M more....

I would add a couple forwards. You're thin at F, but your D and G seem set (especially G).

I dont know in what kind of league you are, but if Ehlers and Nylander are available, jump on them right away! and RUN!!!!

If you can get another Forward (like an Ehlers or Nylander) and a Dman (Hanifin or Provorov), then I would be fine keeping Gibson and Vasilevsky.

How long can players be kept on the farm team. D-men usually take a lot longer to become fantasy productive. If the limit is a small number of games like <82 games for farm team, I would not consider keeping a d man on the farm team. Keep forwards and goalies on farm team. However, if farm team is longer and you can keep a d-man there for as long as it takes to develop them, I would make sure I have one quality d prospect.

goalies are a valuable commodity, having those two blue chips can always be traded for whatever hole your team has more so than a skater.
