Default 16 team Dynasty league, inaugural draft.. how did I do?

I drafted out of the 9 hole in a 16 team league.. 6 pts TD, 1pt Reception, 5yds per point (Rush or Reception), big bonus for 40+ yd Run or Reception. Here is my team: Thoughts?

I think you nailed your first 5 picks - and I mean nailed - in a PPR.

The later rounds without knowing who was out there, I'm not as sure about but I love the makeup of your team. What's the starting lineup look like, though? How many slots for what positions?

I'm curious as to what QB were available when you picked tangy, as well as what RB you passed up when you took Green. I rate Graham significantly lower in Seattle bc of RB/scheme. I'm a huge atris Payne fan, I think he would have been great as a later pick. The Arz back up looked decent last night too. I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm not a fan after your first pick.

I think Green was a great pick with the settings the way they are, maybe could've waited a round on a QB but if Tannehill was the last of the tier (I think he has a top-5 year) then grab him if you prefer to be safe with your positions.

Graham won't be the same as he was in NO, but he's still an elite pass-catcher and the first real TE weapon for Wilson so it could be a whole new ballgame out there. In a 5yd/pt + 1PPR, pass catchers are so ridiculously important.

I maybe would've targeted Bush or Morris at some early point but I do like the roster makeup quite a bit.

Would love your draft if you grabbed a RB in 3 instead of Graham - what rounds did Kelce (who I like better in dynasty ppr) and Eifert or ASJ (who I don't but could have been better value) go in? And I think Wayne is a wasted pick. You are set up well for down the line, but for this year you are banking for both a clear and productive starter in ATL and for Duke to win the CLE job and produce. Both look like RBBC headaches right now. But you WR group and your QBs look like an excellent foundation.

Brown is a steal at 9. This guy is a stud in PPR and I think he's going to be the top WR in the NFL this year. In my opinion, you are really hurtying at RB. I unfortunately think you made the wrong move in the 3rd grabbing Graham. After going Brown/Green in 1 and 2, you needed to snag a RB here. After Gronk, there is no need to run out and grab at TE. I would try to move Graham for a RB if you can and then stream the TE if you can't get a solid replacement.

He could have a monster year. But consider that over the last two years SEA's top WR averaged 65 catches and just under 900 yards and 4 TDs. Even if you think that he takes over those receptions, he would need to improve on his career 12.3 ypc just to reach those yards. Wilson only threw 20 TDs last season and 26 the year before, so he basically needs to throw almost half his TDs to Graham to come close to his NO totals.

And even if he does somehow put up his NO numbers across the board (in an offense that throws at a third of NO's volume), you still don't have a safe RB1 or RB2.

Is there such a thing as a "safe" RB1 or RB2 nowadays?

Yup there sure is....Bell, Charles, Peterson, Lacy, Lynch are all safe bet RB1's lol

Honestly though, see if you can grab a guy like Ivory. I think he's going to be a big sleeper this year. I see him as an improvement over all of your RBs right now and a safe bet RB2.

Safer than three rookies and a sophomore, none of whom are clear starting RBs for their teams? Yes.

What happens if you pick the wrong one between Freeman and Coleman in a given week and Johnson gets buried below Crowell and West. Your RBs could give you next to nothing. Last year Freeman, Jackson, and Rodgers averaged 19.5 carries a game at 3.7 ypc, 5 receptions, and .5 TDs. Freeman averaged 7.5 ypcatch. Split 70/30 that's a whopping 50 yards and .35 TDs, along with 3.5 receptions and 27 receiving yards. That's not bad, sure, and they could be better this year. But what if the split isn't that uneven or what if the coaches change their minds every week about who gets the volume? And that is your best situation. By the end of the year, one of Coleman or Freeman could be a clear starter and Johnson could be a ppr RB1, but attaching yourself to non-established starters in poor offenses is risky. And if you are going risky, you need more tickets in the lottery, which is why I would have drafted another RB instead of Wayne.

As I think I said, long term your team looks great with a very strong base at the most reliable positions. But for this year, those RBs could be a problem and if you drafted Graham (and Wayne) for this year, that seems at cross purposes.

Even a league your size M.Jones, B. Allen, Artis-Payne, G. Johnson, or J. Robinson might still be available. Or someone might trade for Wayne with the GB and NE buzz.
