Would you rather keep Rask and Bjugstad?
Would you rather keep Kessel and Oshie?

I'm also wondering if Ribeiro is not a better keeper than Oshie? (1 M$ less, ~same production, much older)
Have to go Kesselimo. Dont get me wrong I LOVE Rask- hes an elite guy- and a personal fave. I just do not see him being worth the money this year. In a non-cap i cross my fingers and reach/overpay maybe cause Ima huge fan. In a cap league you just cant imho. So much money with pretty average one year upside. I am not saying his career is over- or that hes waiver garbage- I just have a very hard time swallowing that cap hit for what you can reasonably expect out of himthis year.

For the right player i would seriously consider dropping Rask, Oshie is definitely not that guy.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

There is no peripherals stats in our league.
Goalie are awarded 2 pts per win and 2 additional pts per shutout.

Due to our weird cap limitation (34 M$ for first 12 players (including our 7 keepers) and 11M$ for last 3 players),
my range of available 30 Win goalie in late rounds will be :
    - Overpaid goalie like Rask, Quick, Crawford, Rinne (maybe one or two will be available)
    - Not so sexy number one goalie : Anderson, Talbot, Niemi, Mason, Luongo, Pavelec (I guess there will be two or three of them available here)
    - Unproven goalie who can be top 10 based on the team in front of them: Halak, Dubnyk (they will gone in the late round)

Other team sure keeper are : Price, Fleury, Bisop, Andersen, Bobrovsky, Holtby, Lunqvist
Meaning that 9 Teams will be fighting for a number one goalie.
Most of the team select long shot second goalie due to our low cap space.
Salary Cap (based on annual salary) - 16 teams - Limited Keeper (7)
Category : Goal, Pass, +/-, Win, Shutout
Points based on best 7 FW, 3 D and 1 G of each month.

    FW: Backstrom (10), Ovechkin (7.5), Monahan (6.5), Ehlers (0.833), ???, ???, ???, ???
    Defense: Werenski (0.925), Brodie (4.838), ???, ???
    Goalie: Hellebuyck (2.25), ???

Cap leagues change a lot, but I can't see myself ever dropping Rask for oshie.

Can you explain this a bit better? 34M $ for the first 12 players can't be right since your 7 keepers have a combined salary of over $37M

I forgot to mention that the highest paid player on a team as the franchise player tag and his salary doesn't count against the cap.
    Chuckcouples is right, my 7 keeper have a 37 M$ cap hit - 10 M$ for my franchise player = 27 M$

This give me 7 M$ left for 5 players (in my first 12).
I'll probably allocated 3 M$ on my first pick and draft 4 rookie forwards at 0.925 M$

My last 3 picks are going to be for 2 goalies (10M$) and a rookie def. at 0.925M$

What are you thinking about this strategy?

I was finally able to trade for Halak.
I gave Yandle and 6th pick.
    I receive Halak and a 7th pick.

I'll keep Halak over Rask for cap issues and I'll trade to upgrade a pick by trading Rask away.
