Hi Slug & Shake - this sounds like a fantastic league, but I have to admit, I've never used FanTrax. Is it easy to use, especially for a first timer? I've been a long-time poolie, but never tried FanTrax (though it seems more and more leagues are using it these days). Will it be easy enough to pick up at first?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Stotan. I'm not in this league, not do I have time for another one. But I can tell you that - as someone who is "really simple" when it comes to technology in general - you should have no problem with Fantrax. I started using it a few years ago, and I didn't have to ask anyone a single question....just started using it and everything was very intuitive. I actually find the Yahoo platform more complicated, with stupid settings like IR and IR+; trying to figure out differences between those idiotic settings is another story lol

Based on his message, it appears it's $40 + Fantrax fee. Meaning it's a premium membership, so the league divides that $79 (or whatever it is) fee. In a 12 team league, expect the + to run 7 bucks or so.

Yeah, I am in the league and this is correct. Also note that it is USD, not CAD - so us Canadians get dinged a bit.

    PM ME for ownership consideration.

League Name: United Fantasy Hockey League
    League Size: 12 Teams
    Lineups: Daily lineups
    Host Site: Fantrax
League Investment: $40+Fantrax fee which is paid by each owner
League Format: Dynasty - Keep All - H2H Category, most wins.

    League scoring:

    Skaters:

    G - Goals
    A- Assists
    Pts - Total Points
    PPP- Power Play Points
    TK- Takeaways
    SOG - Shots on Goal
    H+B - Hits + Blocks
    FOW - Faceoffs Won
    TOI - Time on Ice

    Goalies:

    W - Wins
    Svs - Saves
    GAA - Goals Against Average
    SHO - Shutouts
    Sv% - Save Percentage

    Rosters:

    Starters
    4 Center
    4 Left Wing
    4 Right Wing
    6 Defense
    2 Goalies

*** Max of 3 Goalies owned on each teams pro player roster***

    10 reserves
5 Injured Reserve ( player must be on NHL Injured reserve )
    20 prospects.

    Prospects Classification:

Skaters: 150 career regular season games played
Goalies: 100 career regular season games played.

    Monetary Structure.

    $40 buy-in per team.
    Total Purse $ 480.00

Best overall regular season league record ( Points in Standings )= $130
Division Champions ( Three Division Champions )= $100
    League Champion = $50

The breakdown of the money is to reward regular season team owner success with the overall best league record. This winning owner should be rewarded with the highest payout for the great job and dedication required to have the best overall league record.

Division Championships should also be rewarded with a nice sum of cash for the same reasons. To win the division takes a seasons long dedication.

The league champion gets a nice $50 added to their already nice payout for the great job during the playoff.

Wild Card teams do not earn payouts. A Wild Card team could win the Championship however, thus being eligible to win the $50 prize.

    Inaugural Draft:

The inaugural draft will be 50 rounds. This draft will include all pro players, prospects and 2015 draft class ( McDavid, Eichel, etc ) all in the same draft.

The draft will be set at 12 hour running clock until completion.

There is NO trading pre-draft and during the draft.

The draft is conducted in the Fantrax draft room.
