If you gave Yashin 5% to return to the NHL this year, cut that by at least half. Yashin, who joined his club Lokomotiv Yaroslavl a week ago in Switzerland after signing a contract with the club, did not partake in either of their 3 matches there having incurred an undisclosed injury in practice :S

Interview with 27-year old German national team goalie Dimitrij Kotschnew, who just moved to the KHL, in which he states an interest in playing in North America if he was offered a contract in a situation where he thought he\'d have a realistic shot at competing for an NHL job. States he\'s had interest from NHL teams in the past, and even offers, but at the time (when he was 20 [so, in summer 2001]) he felt he\'d be better served competing for a starter\'s role on a German league team than competing for a no. 3-4 spot on a North American club. He also cites his friend Dimitry Patzold as a player who made the opposite choice and now came back after 5 years without cracking the line-up. Just thought i\'d throw this in on the off chance his name comes up in the rumor mill next summer and somebody searches it on the forums ...
