    Default NyQuist Vs BArkov

Ive been offered in one of my league His Nyquist for my Barkov (pts only league) with a Cap Hit of 70,4 M per year. Barkov is 925k on the cap hit this year and then he is a RFA and might sign a way bigger contract. Nyquist on the other end is sign at a Cap hit of 4,75 M for next 5 years. Witch Side would you choose ?

    Thanks alot

I own Barkov myself and would not trade him for Nyquist
BArkov is younger and they both should get about the same amount of points this season.
I dont think Barkov will get a lot more than 4,75 after his season unless he gets 75 pts witch i'm pretty confident he wont get.
for me I'd stick with Barkov with more potential.
    just my opinion.

I'd hold onto BArkov. Believe he has a higher ceiling than NyQuist, just hasn't gotten the offensive aspect of his game going yet.

With this win now line up (in a $69M cap league) you take the guy who makes $925k.

F: Giroux, Kessel, Toews, Backstrom, Wheeler, Kucherov, Tavares, Strome, Stone, Santorelli, Gallagher, Jurco, Barkov,
D: Trouba, Hamilton, Carlson, Ceci, Brennan, Gardiner, Benn
    G: Fleury, Halak

Good point, but in a 9 team league isn't everybody in "win now" ?

Barkov for me. He will probably be outproduced by Nyquist next season by 5-10 points, but for 3M less give me Barkov.

Nyquist will beat him by 15 points and I think he has a bit more upside. But for the price it's still Barkov

I agree with the majority here. Price tips this one to Barkov.

Nyquist offers a stable cap, but Barkov has much higher upside. Be patient I see big things for him in Florida.

I will say this, I believe that Nyquist is just as good, if not better, offensively as Barkov long term.

Unless Barkov goes off this year, I don't think he gets a $4.75M deal next year (he has one year left at this salary rate) so after this year he should still be cheaper while still growing.

    Barkov for me.

I like Barkov in this deal, they will be similar in points this year and a much better salary...plus I see Barkov out producing Nyquist in the coming years too.
