Free Agent Draft Targets

Hello folks,

We are going to be conducting a free agent draft for the league in sig. I have the third overall pick and i'm targeting one of the following four players:

Dubnyk
Mark Stone
Teemu Pulkinnen
Artemy Panarin

I feel Stone and Dubnyk will be gone, but in the event that all are available, how would you rank these based on my team needs as you see it?

I don't think Dubnyk is for real, but even if, i would still want Stone first.

Seeing as you start 2G, and you only have two legit NHL Goalies on your roster, I'd rank them:

Dubnyk (I am a believer)
Stone
Pulkkinen
Panarin

Having a third NHL goalie as some backup for injuries is never a bad thing.

Personally... if you need a goalie and are allowed to trade up... I'd be gunning hard to get Dubnyk.
He's gonna be real good with Minnesota. Every mediocre goalie to play there has been good.
Dubnyk is a tad better than mediocre, so he's gonna be great in Minnesota (IMO) with their defensive system to protect him.

Dubnyk and Stone are head and shoulders above the other two. Pulkkinen would be #3 for me.

Agree completely with this post by Pengwin7. Barring an injury, Dubnyk should be a top 7 goalie next season and I actually think he will be a Vezina finalist again next year.

Yeah there's nothing worse than being on the wrong side of the cliff when there's a big drop-off between two picks.

Agree with Pengwin7 here. If Dubby is there - TAKE HIM. Try *hard* to move up one spot - or even to #1 - to ensure you have a shot at him.

Well, i was able to trade up to the second pick in the FA draft. Plus i was able to retain my 3rd pick too. The trade ends up equalling:

Burns
Halak

for

Stone
Silfverberg
McDonagh
Talbot

I think i did well, i dunno. It doesn't matter really, i like gambling, and making trades is truly the most fun of being in a pool for me. That will change if i ever win money i'm sure, lol, maybe this move helps me get closer to that goal.

Sorry, but I'm confused a bit here.

You traded Stone, Silfverberg, McJESUS, and Talbot AWAY for Burns and Halak? Am I reading this right?
