Aren't the Jays changing their grounds from turf to natural grass in the next year?

I do agree that the turf doesn't bode well for the oft-injured Tulowitzki but if the Jays are planning on changing their turf, this deal works well for them.

They changed to a new turf this yr as a bridge to possible grass in 2017.

If Tulo is in the game, Edwin is the DH and Smoak/Collebelo at 1B. If Tulo is DH, Goins as SS and Edwin at 1B. Not bad.

Love the idea of getting Kimbrell and Ross. However, if Reyes and Tulo are gone does that mean the Jays are confident in Goins to be the every day ss?

Maybe it's just me, but I could see AA moving Edwin before Tulo.

I rather move EE than Tulo. Tulo has shown he can produce without the lineup the Jays have had. EE I see needs the Jays more than they need him.

Makes sense so long as their target is a top end pitcher to guide Stroman and Sanchez and take the heat off the Vet starters.

If the Jays can get Upton+Ross for EE+Norris, I’d love that. I’m an Upton owner, and he fills a LF void. Even if the Jays trade Tulo for Upton I wouldn’t be mad. Upton at LF + Goins at SS is better than Carrera at LF and Tulo at SS I think. I would just find it extremely surprising if the Jays flipped Tulo

For me, if you are moving a beast like EE, the SP coming back has to be the key piece of the return. I like Upton as much as the next guy, but I'd rather see less of a hitter and more of a pitcher in return.
