Hmm I'm interested to see the responses on this one.
Personally I'm a big Nyquist fan, but it's a coin flip.

I like Nyquist more but only slightly. I think he's the more dynamic of the two and more capable of creating things on his own but it's close.
I'm higher on Nyqvist than Tartar-sauce, but its really a coin flip. I don't think you could go wrong either way.
As everyone else has pointed out, it's essentially a coin flip.
In a vaccuum give me Nyqvist as I think he has the higher upside, but it's close.
Interesting that Tatar beat him in points, pims and had 3 more game winners. Assuming positions don't matter here? in our league Tatar is LW and Nyquist is RW. I think Nyquist gets more love in our league but after this year, that could change. As others have said, it might be a flip of the coin here and perhaps more so, personal preference. Based on last years stats, Tatar edges him out by a hair. Each played full 82 games too.
Nyquist would get my vote but it's close.
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.
Would be interesting to know about how Jeff Blashill coached the two of them in Grand Rapids, and if he has a preference over the two of them.
Might not mean much though.

Give me Nyquist as well, although I'll admit the responses are a lot more one-sided than I thought they would be.
RETIRED
I agree, it's close... Give me Tatar!
I Will say nyqvist ans tatar i have Both them in my team
If I had the choice to acquire just one guy, it would be Nyquist..

Eh I'll play devils advocate, Tatar out paced Nyquist (by a hair admittedly) but he did so garnering far less PPP, if one was going to get a bump from an uptick on special teams I think its Tatar.

2012-2013 and 2013-2014 league champ
I HAVE WANTED TO KNOW THIS BIT OF INFORMATION MYSELF. I have hoped someone with knowledge of their time with Jeff could talk about their usage under him. This could make a difference. There is no way Pavel or Zett either play 70 games each. I wonder how much heavy lifting these two can take if the coach dumps more Def zone faceoffs, SH TOI etc in their direction?
Last year they both saw 60% or more in OFF zone starts
Nyqvist faced tougher competition it seems ( also was a much more known player after the previous years hot streak)
Both are dead even for the most part in SOG and SH% so nothing to sway me there?
Tatar played 1.98 min per game on the PP with 18 PPP, while Nyqvist played 2.48 min per game with only 24 PPP. 40 more minutes of power play ice time.
They are so close right now 27G to 28G the biggest difference is PPG 14 to 9.
Should you take the player who gets more power play minutes? or take the person who could improve points wise with more power play ice time?
This is why knowing what the new coach will do with these guys will really make this decision for most people.
For me I will say Tatar. Less name value in my league and should slip down to me a round or two later than Nyqvist. They are so close that I would rather land Tatar later for added value. I think Nyqvist might be tasked with some more responsibility as the season starts without Pavel.
That is my two cents,
Steve

I think in your league, Nyquist. He's got a higher goal-scoring ceiling, and it would seem like he's going to see more PP time. If GWG is your big difference maker between the two, I'd side with the extra PP time. Also, he'll likely have higher name value should you decide to trade him.
I like Tatar more in multi-cat though. Plays a more physical game, better +/-.
Again, definitely a toss up though.
