There are a few other players, but none worth mentioning. My trade question is: I have an offer for Malkin that would land me Rinne. Is it worth it or should I keep Rinne?

Obviously I think you make the deal for rinne.

You can afford to lose geno. And you really need a goalie

I'm not sold on your goaltending, so I think I'd pull the trigger on trading for Rinne (if I read that correctly). Plus Rinne's cap hit ($7 mil) is lower than Malkin's ($9.5 mil).

Your skaters are strong and your goaltending is weak. I would do the deal and bring in Rinne. With your leaque stats, my 8 keepers would be Rinne, Tavares, Giroux, Backes, Nishchuskin, Kane, Landeskog, Huberdeau.

I definitely agree with this. Malkin should get as close to top top return as possible, go for the pick too, but as others have said make the deal to balance things out.

The market for Malkin has been dead in our pool for about two years now. I tried to move him last year to clear some cap space and guys did not want him at all. This is a great return considering what people were willing to offer in the past. I've accepted the trade.

I also like that a lot of people are big on Nichushkin. I'm just really worried he won't get the time on that top line. If he doesn't, it hurts his value a lot.
