Only players placed in your center slot will get FOW @ 0.01pts/FOW.
If somebody slots Giroux in one of their 3 C slots... and he gets 1000 FOW, that'll be +10pts. (not a lot, but still about 10% of a 100pt player's value)
If somebody slots Giroux in one of their 3 F slots... he won't get those points.

In real NHL, a guy has to line-up at center to take a faceoff anyways.
It's one of the things I heard about Fantrax that made me think "Neat. That's the way it should be! You want points for a FOW... then make your guy a center!"
It's a neat way of being an NHL coach and getting your best Face-Off men out there for a draw!

    Much thanks.
With you in (23/24) we were able to ahead and randomize the draft order.
Everybody should have gotten an email, except for HavanaBlast21 - his pick spot was emailed to me.

    You got it.
All players can be picked at any time in the draft.
35 rounds and a team can pick their Junior Eligible player(s) whenever they want.

Are Junior players excluded from our every day (active) roster?

If that is true, can you also please confirm what happens if I decide to "activate" my Junior Eligible player?

For example: I draft McDavid and put him on my Junior Eligible roster. Later I decide to activate him to my main roster, do I have to drop someone from the main roster to make space for McDavid?

You can only have 25 on your PRO Roster - so if you start with McDavid on your 10 team JR roster and bring him up... you would have to clear one PRO roster spot (drop a guy).

It's a topic we can talk more on... because I don't want to see somebody just using JR slots as an extension of their PRO roster and cycling 3 young NHL player for stats by using 1 PRO & 2 JR spots.
We'll figure out a way to avoid this.

I like it. I just wanted to ensure that someone like McDavid can't hold a Pro and Junior spot at the same time.

Since this is my first league with a cap, I have another question... (apologies)

If you draft/keep a high salaried player and decide to drop him to waivers (team is over the cap perhaps), do you retain any of his salary to your team cap hit? Is there any penalty for dumping salary to the wire?

I don't remember seeing any rule that pertains to that situation and Penguin had pointed out that with the size of the league no team should have the problem of going over the cap and for me the best move would be to trade off that salary instead of dumping it.

But as always confirm with the Comish!

It's a topic we can talk more on... because I don't want to see somebody just using JR slots as an extension of their PRO roster and cycling 3 young NHL player for stats by using 1 PRO & 2 JR spots.
We'll figure out a way to avoid this.
so say the situation arises (which it will) that you have a player on IR and you bring up a JR player to fill in (instead of a waiver pickup) and then that player comes back from IR and you then send your JR player back to farm to make a roster spot available. Is this a move that will be frowned upon?
