With the 186th pick, the draft broke!

GMs continued to make their picks (see draft thread above) but the picks were not shown in the Draft Results page in Fantrax and the picks were also shown as available to be drafted - even though they had been drafted.

- 30 trades in the past 10 days, average of 3/day

Although the fans expected more of a splash this offseason to overhaul the aging roster with a youth movement, the GM mostly stood pat so far, yet still has plenty of time to maximize value on their vets throughout this season. They did manage to ship out Backstrom for top 4 potential Fabbro + a 2019 1st (20th overall) + 2020 1st. The fans can expect to net a big return from Sid the kid, Duchene, and a modest return from the still reliable, productive Hornqvist.

Season outlook = 18th
With the expected departures of the vets listed above, the future looks promising for the franchise, but this season will be a tough one to endure for the fans. Bright spots of the future with the likes of Barzal, Aho, Guentzel will keep the supporters excited of what lies ahead. This could arguably be the most important year in the history of the franchise with the possible trades that could help shape the franchise in the coming years...
