so it looks like we have a total prize pool of: 520

assuming we keep the same categories, what about:

    Best Regular Season H2H Record - 200
    2nd place H2H Record - Regular Season - 50
    3rd place H2H Record - Regular Season - 25

Most Total Points - Full Year - 95
    Winner of H2H Playoffs - 150

this will favor the regular season, and give the playoff winner a pretty good reward too. also gives the guy with the most points a good reward...thoughts?
Looks good - what about a reward to the first two teams to make a trade?

I disagree, I like the current prize structure. The regular season winner (most dominant for the longest period of time) still wins a good chunk of change, but saving the big daddy of prizes for the win or die playoff time of year is so much more exciting. Is the regular season winner more deserving, maybe/probably, but it's boring.

As for the regular season title, praba -- don't speak too soon. Your lone tender Varlamov is going to hurt when you face off against The Finest.

I really like this idea of 1st-3rd with regular season prizes, just my two cents worth

Prize structure won't change - not for this year.
We can revisit the layout in May when we discuss rule changes for the upcoming year.

Additionally, I'm not fond of teams proposing a change to the payout after everybody has drafted.
Many of us have a very good idea where we stack up for a regular season run for this season.
As proposals to rule changes go... this one has rubbed me the wrong way.

it's simply a discussion, and if it gets enough traction then you get to make the call if it's worth implementing - same as every other rule change we've discussed.

i think there would easily be a majority vote to shift the importance to regular season vs playoffs, but if you don't wish to even explore that this season then i suppose not much we can do.

imo any discussion is worth discussing if it's attempting to make the league better. and considering there have been a few people already agreeing with my proposal i don't see what's so wrong with me bringing it up - even if it's only going to be implemented next year.

I agree with Peng on the payout structure and it feels like the proposal to allow both blue and black flag players to be put on Jr. rosters.

I agree with Pengwin. This is something we can all discuss and implement for next year, however.
Good chance the 1st overall team will end up with the other prize of $45 for most points accumulated anyway - is that not enough for you praba/MCM!?

Keeping it the way it is makes things much more exciting when it really counts - playoff time. Where anyone (well, whoever clinches a spot) can win.

I'd like to see some money (buy-in maybe?) divvied out to a toilet bowl champion (something we can also discuss for next year) - keep things fun for those of us at the bottom end of this big arse pool.

FWIW I'm cool with the payout structure as is, but either way I agree it shouldn't be changed until next offseason if it's going to be changed at all.

Fantastic trade Fizz and Mullet! First big magnitude trade. Awesome!

Anyone else hates the way fabtrax formats trades? I do. Both in email notification and on league page. I've softly lobbied for companion forum for our league for this any some other reasons too.

If we're not going to go that route, can I suggest that when a trade is completed, we at least post here or in a specific trade thread (historical record) with proper formatting instead of fantrax's ridiculous method?

    Example:
    Team A sends-
    Player 1
    Player 2
    Pick1
    Pick2

    Team B-sends
    Player1
    Player2
    Player3

I was thinking this too. Since this is a "public" league would be cool to have a record of trades on the forums for reference too.

Fantrax posted on their forums that they are going to improve the way the trade emails get sent out.

It's always been a huge annoyance of mine.

I normally try and take the time to organize the trade offer in order to begin with so it's easier to read.

i also wanted us to have a proboards forum, makes things so much cleaner and we all get subforums, and the chatbox there is much better. plus PM notifications, trade talks are so much easier. i cant count the number of times ive accidently sent pms to wrong managers in fantrax.

i think commish wanted to keep it simple and leave everything on fantrax though

and nice trade guys. hard to say who won it so seems pretty fair to me
