Gibson will turn 22 in a little more than two weeks, so he's just a baby in terms of goaltender development. He missed a ton of time this year with a groin injury and only played in 23 NHL and 11 AHL contests. He could use another full season and if he spends it mostly in the A, he should dominate.

Khudobin could be waived/demoted. The trade was essentially a cap dump.
