Panthers seek help on wings in first round of draft
"Panthers' biggest need remains on the wing, and Tallon said it wasn't likely he'd stray from that this year without a top-five pick.
Tallon said he was open to the possibility of trading the 11th pick for an established scorer if the right deal came along and that conversations with other teams have begun to pick up."

Yes, that's when GM's had him pigeonholed as a third-line checker and I think Tallon saw something more. Just another reason why I'm angry he doesn't get enough credit for all their Cups.

Yeah the only time I think he has been mentioned was after the 2010 cup, where his name was brought up several times about assembling that squad. Does he get the recognition he deserves, probably not. I've been a fan of hockey for almost 20 years but a fanatic for only a few, hell I missed game 6 in 2010 vs the flyers for a date. Wouldn't do that today.

Tallon gets credit with the Hawks fan. Keep in mind that Tallon messed up the RFA offer sheets in 2009 and he made a couple very lousy draft picks (Beach). I don't know how much credit I give him for Toews and Kane. Those were easy picks. He didn't draft Keith or Seabrook either.
