Lmao. Took up running at 76 (I know you were kidding). This particular marathon took her about 7.5 hrs.

Geezzzzz. Some big feats right there. To be alive in your 90s is one thing, to be walking is another let alone be running. I couldn’t even walk a marathon, let alone run it.

Quite impressive. There was a 100 year old that ran the Toronto Marathon back in 2011. You hear more and more of these stories. I met a 96 year old woman 4 years ago. She just turned 100 a couple of months ago and she still golfs and actually WALK'S the course. She has cut her rounds to 9 holes the last couple of years though. She also likes her rye and ginger!

Yup. These stories are incredible and inspirational. Too many people let themselves deteriorate with poor diet and inactivity.

I find long distance running boring as well. Have you ever tried doing stair or hill sprints though? That's a good time I'll tell ya.

Trail running is much more pleasant than running on roads. Plus I find it easier on my knees, as the solid concrete/asphalt delivers quite a pounding through the feet and legs.

Ya I hear that. For me it's the aesthetic benefits of incline sprints or HIIT that I prefer over steady state cardio more than anything else really.
