Around or on May 20th Babcock is expected to announce a direction in his free agent status and maybe rule out a team say Detroit?

Well at least he won't keep us waiting long.
At this point I'm thinking he stays in Detroit.

We should know w/in the next ten days or so, right? I thought I read somewhere he'd have a decision by May 25th or thereabouts.
@SmittysRant
25th is the Red Wings deadline they gave Babcock. Babs said he'd have a decision by the 20th at the latest. Sounds like he already has a decision made by the tone of the video. They said in video they leave Worlds tomorrow and I'd imagine come Tuesday / Wednesday we see an announcement.
No. Keep it up on your lawn, just be ready to put a Wings sweater on it
I think it's Detroit as first option but I have this feeling that he would love the opportunity to team up with former player of his Shanahan and be the coach that brings Toronto back to relevance. I don't think he's all that deeply interested in Buffalo. Maybe he's using them as leverage to drive up $$$ for a contract? No idea. Hunch says Detroit, and if not Detroit than it will be Toronto.
I was adament on him going to St. Louis as I thought this thing would drag out until mid-summer, but clearly that isn't the case.
Yeah he has that type of ego that he'd take on the Leaf challenge. But I agree I'd say Detroit too.
