The Edmonton Oilers may not be willing to wait that long and is looking to close a deal with Todd McLellan.

Don't be surprised to see the Oilers have their new Head Coach named before Babcock makes up his mind.
Looks like Elliotte Friedman would agree.

If a challenge is what he wants(and $$$ to boot) Toronto may be on the agenda.

Welp, Babbers made the rounds w/the Pegulas today http://www.diebytheblade.com/2015/5/...-today-per-wgr touring the Harbor Center. If anyone can convince Babcock to be the Sabres bench boss it's Terry Pegula. Obviously, money won't be an issue. Babcock holds the cards. Should be an interesting few weeks.

    Pretty interesting.

No coach in the modern expansion era has won the cup with two different teams.

    Here's an interesting read.

    http://www.theglobeandmail.com/sport...ticle24380450/

Kelly: Why do we think Mike Babcock is the NHL's best coach?

While he’s being squired across the continent like a visiting monarch, everyone dropping to their knees as he enters the rink, we’ve all decided Mike Babcock is the best coach in hockey. Not “one of” or “arguably.” Just the best, full-stop.

    Why is that?...

Depends on when the modern expansion era started, but Bowman won cups with pittsburgh and Detroit in the 90s.

I have it on good authority that teams from other sports are showing interest in Babcock.
