Maybe so. He's a high risk/reward kinda guy. Someone might take a gamble on him early but I for one won't be surprised if it doesn't happen.

you actually think he won't crack top 15? even the guys that knock crouse still see him as a top 10 pick, maybe top 12 at worst.

As my mock shows, I dont see him in the top 14. I didn't look at teams and what I think their needs are after that. Someone has to be a little different and not just drop the same names in a couple different slots. The real draft rarely goes that way. Someone normally slides a bit and I think he's the guy.

I love him. I think he goes 11. I think the Jackets go with the Finnish kid, the Sharks take a future top-pairing D (since they have the Joe's, Couture and Hertl) and Colorado goes with a bigger kid in Zacha.

Maybe the Coyotes have something up their sleeve here...

Trade the 3rd overall to the Leafs for the 4th overall and some extra incentive since T.O. would be thrilled to land Strome?

With no extra incentive, I would go with Strome at 3...

That's fair! I just can't see the Devils passing on Barzal. They need a top line center.

True point. The thing is, the Devils need a lot. I really think they take the best forward available, according to their draft board. I'm predicting Crouse but it could be Barzal.

I agree, they need a lot on the forward side and I would not be surprise if they pick Crouse. It will be a very interesting draft for sure.

Some of it might actually be "wishful thinking" on my part as well, since I am HOPING that Provorov slides to 7 where the Flyers draft him

You think the Flyers will go with another D? With Sanheim, Morin, Gostisbehere, Manning, Hagg..they might be tempted to add a forward?

Considering the lack of scoring from their forwards this past season, I have a hard time seeing the Flyers passing up on a high skilled forward with their 1st rnd pick this year.
