I don't know if McTavish WANTS to coach again but his GM job cannot be 100% secure right now. Has anyone been a coach, then become a GM, and then move back into full time coaching ever in the NHL?

I do agree with you.

So many options out there right now. Edmonton could just fire MacTavish, bring in Chiarelli and Chiarelli would find a guy he wants such as McLelland, etc. Fun for conversation for now but I do think in very short order the Edmonton brass has a whole different landscape.

That's too specific. I already lost $40 with a buddy saying Anderson would be traded for O'Reilly last summer. Actually no, it was that Anderson would be traded and O'Reilly would be a Senator, but not in the same deal.

you know what I mean, main pieces being Anderson and Draisaitl. Any minor picks involved (non-1st rounders) can be ignored, same with any bottom 6 players.

Everything that I have read in the last couple of days, tells me that Todd McLellan has no desire to coach in Edmonton, even with McDavid.

yup, which lets them keep draisaitl. or they can give up less than that to trade for a similar goalie, which is why i'm pretty damn sure anderson isnt getting traded for draisaitl. not only are the sens not dealing from a position of strength (everyone can see they'd rather keep hammond longterm over anderson), but when is the last time you've seen a goalie get traded for a top prospect? goalie market is shit, you will never get full value for a goalie, even if you think he's worth draisaitl.
