Years ago in my league someone traded his first overall pick in the current year for the other person's first pick in the following year. The next year, that pick ended up first overall and the player drafted was Stamkos. Ouch.

last offseason, i trade evgeni kuznetsov (remember just how high his value was last offseason), torey krug and mat zuccarello for jonathan drouin and a first round pick this year. the guy finished last, but because the sabres lost the draft lottery, i'm only gonna get the 2nd pick. but still, those three guys for drouin and eichel. how awesome is that!!!
