Is he actually a quick healer? I know the chara incident, but that’s the only injury I remember he’s had.
Yup, he is... Chara tried to remove his head and shatter his neck... 22 games missed... Stoner puts him in the hospital after a dirty hit... plays the next game... Gets an appendectomy... back 4 games later!!

He admitted to thinking about retiring after the hit because of concussions…appendectomies are pretty routine operations now, if he has the laser version of it he can leave the hospital that day.

The Chara incident was pretty brutal. But it was documented he was at a movie theater like 4 days after the hit, which is a big no no for a severe concussion which he said he had. He missed like 4 months with the C4 Vertebra fracture, it just so happened to be in March the hit, so he missed 22games that yr, and rehabbed through the offseason. Subaxial Fractures (C3-C7) have different classes of breaks, and their recovery time ranges from 6-10weeks, but obviously change per person. It’s amazing he can play at that level still, but saying he missed 22games should be taken with a grain of salt.

Lol I know about the 22 games (+offseason)... To my defense, it's in the article to which I posted the link so everyone could read the whole story

Obviously my post was more comical (pun intended) than informational.

Still, the guy comes back from serious conditions/injuries faster than most!

@JohnLuTSNMtl: #Habs Therrien on Pacioretty: "He's doing well and is on track." Doesn't rule out quicker return, given Max's history of fast healing.
