#Pens Coach Johnston: Hornqvist won't be on the road trip. Out for about a week. Malkin day-to-day. May join trip later.

Sounds like he'll miss at least the game tomorrow.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Don’t know why everyone thought it was minor. He went down hard. The play looked simple, but he struggled to even move his leg/knee. With the NHL playoffs coming, I can see him resting a lot moving forward.

(not that I should be surprised, I guess)

Maybe Pit will actually use that forgotten thing called the IR so I can actually find a replacement.

My league only has weekly changes and if I reserve Malkin and he plays he becomes a free agent. So, I chose to keep him active this week...

Just to let everyone know, technically MacKinnon is DTD with a broken foot, even though he is out 6-8weeks. Late march to april DTD’s mean week-to-week pretty much.

He's not playing this week at all.

It's times like these that I'm NOT envious of the guys that own Crosby and Malkin.

(says the guys impatiently waiting for Hall, Kane and Lundy! argh)

Hey at least Malkin isn't out with a sunburn like in years past!
I'm screwed in my league with Malkin, Hornqvist, Neal, Shattenkirk, Giordano, Byfuglien and Jenner out!

To be fair, you must have expected to some extent you would at least be without Malkin, Hornqvist, Giordano, or Byfuglien (or any combination of them) during playoffs. Having all 4 be healthy would be unlikely.

They've already missed games throughout the season. Is it so much to ask them to play the last 15?

Evgeni Malkin might not join the Penguins before the end of their road trip after all.
"I was hoping originally [he] might be able to come on the road," Penguins coach Mike Johnston said. "Right now, it doesn't look like that, but we'll see after four or five days." Pittsburgh played in New Jersey on Tuesday and will play in Dallas Thursday night and in Arizona on Saturday. The Penguins have been limited to just one goal over their last three games, so they could certainly use all the help they can get right now.
