I was just joking around. The Cowboys knew from probably Week 2 on that he wouldn't be returning - they didn't necessarily lowball him, they just need the money used on the better asset, Dez Bryant. They gave Murray the ball so much for a reason. Otherwise his workload would have been reduced.

That is true. Funny thing is I think Demarco is using this "trip to Philly" to get JJ to up his offer.

The irony is not lost on me, assuming Matthews has not yet signed in lieu of Kelly's pursuit of signing Murray. It blows his system first/I can win with any personnel mantra out of the water.

Could be argued that it's McCoy for Murray and Alonso.

Although I still think that qualifies as a bit of a risky move ... and, I should add, completely fortuitous given that it's Murray who called the Eagles and said he wanted to go there and not the other way around. So it kind of fell into Chip's lap.

It'd be interesting to see what Spiller could do behind that line in Dallas. I'm a huge Bills fan, but they just never gave that guy a proper chance and obviously their OL wasn't half the quality of Dallas' for most of Spiller's time there.

Spiller behind Dallas OL could do some damage, but I still don't view him as a 20+ carry RB regardless of the team he lands on.

Eagles a done deal

Eagles agreed to terms with RB DeMarco Murray on a five-year, $42 million contract.
The deal includes $21 million guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $8.4 million.
