Bigger question is why would AZ give up on Boedker when he is young, talented and they are dying for offense?

Why trade Boedker? He's not old, and they need some decent players with a bit of experience to usher in the young blood. How bad to the Yotes want to get, and for how long? They don't want to become the next Oilers, do they? There's rebuilding and then there's stripping a franchise completely bare. In my opinion, doing the latter is a recipe for an endless rebuild.
I guess maybe they're hoping to finish second last, if possible.

Mark my words: no matter where the Yotes finish in the standings, they will win the nhl draft lottery!!
The NHL decides this and no team needs a star more then the Yotes..
