Default [RUMOR] Flyers defensemen could be on move

Per multiple sources including CSN Philly's Tim Panaccio and TSN's Darren Dreger, teams are inquiring about Philadelphia's defensive unit with Braydon Coburn the most likely target.

Alone, Coburn could net a fairly high pick in this market. The Flyers preference would be to package with a dead-weight salary such as Vincent Lecavalier.

    Calgary could be a destination.

theyre likely better off dumping coburn for whatever they can and keeping lecavalier as expensive filler until a horton 2.0 situation comes up haha

They may need to; I can't see a team wanting Coburn enough to take Vinny's salary

If Lecavalier has to be in the deal in order to get Coburn, I would simply turn to another team to go find a dman.

My feeling as well. Unless somebody is desperate, I'd bet Lecavalier is still a Flyer tomorrow afternoon.

Coburns been rumored to go to Edmonton for so long now, I hope he gets traded to anywhere but Edmonton to end the stupid rumors.

I think Coburn will definitely go to a Western Canadian team. Whether it's Calgary or Edmonton remains to be seen. The Edmonton-Philly front has been quiet of late (as in last few days), so there could be something brewing.

I think any deal involving someone willing to take Lecavalier needs to be take seriously. If this was the summer, I'd say no way (B Schenn). I think Flyers are less protective of him now so that proposal has traction for sure.
