Well if Zuccarello thinks this is just a bluff by the Rangers to lower his price, they have shown they will in fact trade you (like Callahan) if they don't think they can sign you.

Considering he's making $3.5M this year, I wouldn't say that's an exorbitant raise. Certainly room for negotiations, but as I said earlier, the Rangers aren't willing to lose him if he isn't willing to dance to their music.

I just don't get some of these teams being both buyers and sellers. Ducks and Rangers rumoured to be selling rentals in Beleskey and Zuccarello but also in on rentals? Ducks added Fleischmann. Rangers were supposedly in on Sekera. I don't get it.
