Default the second coming of Tyler Myers?

It seems that Winnipeg has won that trade in landslide fashion the way Stafford and myers have been playing.

Myers has had one of the best stretches of his career here after that trade. Everyone should be closely monitoring him or scooping him up If available.

I haven't watched any games (just noticing production) and would love some feedback from people about this topic.

    Thanks

My feeling about Myers is dont overpay for him now. It is expected that he would go on a bit of a streak after being traded. My advice is to exercise caution. If you can trade for him and pay the price of a 30-35 point player then it might be worth the gamble. He hasn't scored more than 35 since the 2010-2011 season. If you have to pay a 40-45 point player price to get Myers, I would pass. I dont see it as a smart investment. He could be for real, its just that the numbers dont stack up.

I agree. I credit the Jets coaching staff for reminding Myers what he's best at, while continuing to motivate the team. (Shame about the Leaves loss.)
Stafford has also integrated quickly, and while he may be no Evanderama, that's okay with me.
A shame we lost Bogosian - I guess everything has a price. Good pick though.
I know people who know people who know the local Jets goalie prospect we lost - off my radar.
I'm putting Cheveldayoff on my Jets jersey.

I plucked Myers off the wire the minute I heard about that trade and haven't looked back.

Could very well be the second coming... we all know what he's capable of.

if i were a forward that made his living in front of the net, i wouldnt want to play @ winnipeg. its cold outside and on one shift the battle is with big buff and on the other its with a 6'8 tyler myers

I think it's a tad early to say who's won this trade. It's not like Bogosian hasn't been a beast for Buffalo in his short time there and of course, we still haven't seen EKane there yet.

Dont get me wrong, Myers has looked better since going to Winnipeg, but I am still cautiously optimistic when it comes to Myers.

Fair enough. Bogosian has definitely made the trade look good to Buffalo fans.
And we still don't know how Evanderama translates to eastern NY. (Did Bogo know he'd be the handler?)
Cautiously optimistic is bang on, imho.

Hmmmm. My recent perceived fleecing to acquire RNH for Myers straight up. Hope I don't live to regret it. Long term I doubt it, but damn...sure could use him right now (over Gardiner)

Yup, I defiantly mentioned to snag him off the FA or WW if available, and defiantly use caution when and common sense when trading for him.
I am just impressed at how the Jets have been utilizing him, I heard a quote from somewhere which made me really intrigued:

Lawless believes that "A big part of what Myers will be expected to do in Winnipeg is get in position to receive passes from (Toby) Enstrom and then create offence. Enstrom needs a finisher and that is now the responsibility of Myers." Lawless went on to note that "Enstrom is an elite passer and Myers has a stinging shot and the ability to get it through."

    Defiantly good signs

Yeah, Myers has looked good with the Jets. They were commenting on this last night - that Maurice told him, "Go, go, go. Get into the rush. Use your offense." Those are encouraging words for Poolies. I'm not sold that he will set the world on fire, but it's worth the look.

Myers is playing pretty much the same way he did in Buffalo imo. But nobody cared to pay attention then. Now that he isn't on an ahl team his numbers will be better. He is going to be very good.,

I'm riding the wave as well. May only get better if Big Buff is out for some time.
