[Monster] Offer On The Table - My Giroux/Malkin for Crosby + + [REP]

After proposing an Ovi/Malkin for a Crosby + + deal earlier this year...subsequently rejected, I have this offer cross my table tonite.

Malkin

Crosby
Carter
Datysuk

Notes:
- I'd have to drop a player (Backlund, Bozak, Vasil etc.) or get a 2 for 1 deal done before I accept
- I'd dominate the FW stat (minor detail)
- holy eff, it's Crosby
- I'm going for the win this year

Without knowing your league, I'd still take g and malkin. 2 top 5 guys for #1.

Yeah that's a big offer, but I'd have to stick with Giroux/Malkin. this is a rare offer where I say the team getting the best player doesn't win.

I think I'd rather have Giroux (so dominant in FW category) and Malkin as well.

That being said, I'd try to acquire a solid #2 goalie and drop Hornqvist as a keeper (especially without SOG as a stat)

After seeing your settings I stick with my original response, g and malkin. You could argue g or malkin alone are almost as valuable as Sid.

I guess the argument I'm having at the moment is winning now, while also getting the best player in the world...

That being said, I'd try to acquire a solid #2 goalie and drop Hornqvist as a keeper (especially without SOG as a stat)

Despite Schneider being on a terrible team he's actually a solid contributor in our league. His losses offset by SA...and always good SV% and GAA. Any goalies above and beyond Schneider are simply untouchable in our goalie starved league.

Bobrovsky, C Anderson, Ward, Scrivens...and Okposo, Hossa.

You're trading 2 keepers for 1, and you're lowering your chances of winning this year by doing this deal.

Crosby is Crosby, but Giroux is pretty valuable in that format.

Try countering with Crosby + another keeper.

Realistically, you're not going to get Crosby doing a 1 for 1+...

As I mentioned before, I'd actually ask for Crosby +++ to tip the scales in your favour. What other big names does the opposing GM have on his roster?

Yeah if that's what we're talking about then it's slim pickings. I would hold onto Malkin/Giroux.
