As an owner of both in two one-year leagues, I am thrilled with this development. Talbot has been fantastic but going back to the full NYR tandem in my lineup is just gold.

Lundqvist likely to start Saturday @ Boston. Time to get him off your IR if you need him this week!

Henrik Lundqvist also was on the ice as the signs point to him making his first start after 25 games on Saturday. Lundqvist was due to have a discussion with coach Alain Vigneault and, no doubt, goalie coach Benoit Allaire to decide whether he would start against the Bruins or Sunday afternoon against the Capitals at Madison Square Garden. But, make no mistake, Lundqvist is antsy to play so we all know what his input will be. Prior to Thursday’s 5-1 win at Ottawa, Lundqvist flatly declared, “I’m ready.”

In a good indication he’s playing, Lundqvist said via his Twitter account he would be wearing his Jeff Gordon red mask on Saturday. Lundqvist has six new masks he wants to use before the end of the season, in conjunction with his show, “The Mask,” and he said sitting on the bench as a backup does not count as a use.

Not an impressive first outing. My goalie stats are embarrassing this week with Varly, Neimi and now Lundy. Oops.

Rough return, but not unexpected. Talbot's getting the start this afternoon, but the Rangers have 3 games this upcoming week (@WIN, @MIN, vs NJ). Is there any way Lundqvist doesn't see those 3 starts?

I'm likely dropping Talbot tonight because I just don't see how NYR doesn't give Hank all the time he needs to get back in his groove. Hopefully he doesn't take the entirety of the remaining regular season to do so.
