I don't have anything from twitter, but I do remember reading somewhere that Okposo could be back in closer to 4-6 weeks instead of 6-8. That's the only thing I've heard about it, though.

My very unedumicated guess (yes, unedumicated) is that he returns for the last three games to be ready for the playoffs. Eye injuries are not to be taken lightly. You get one chance at letting it heal properly the first time. The Islanders are comfortably in a playoff spot. There is no need to rush Okposo back and I think the Islanders brain-trust has the patience and opportunity to let him heal.

Kyle Okposo has yet to skate since suffering a detached retina in late January.
Okposo was expected to be out for six-eight weeks and that would have him back in the lineup in mid-to-late March. He has 44 points in 46 games this season including a four goal game against the Penguins on January 16. Just an update in case you were wondering about his status.
