I'm not sure if the Super Bowl can trump the GB/SEA tilt we saw last Sunday. Those were my favourite two NFL teams, so I'll clearly be cheering for the Shithawks. I just hope that Wilson comes to play for more than the last quarter! I also like the Pats. I hope we get an exciting game to help the beer go down easier.

GO SEAHAWKS.
Brief overview:
Pats have a strong secondary and decent front 7. Lots of potent receivers who can stretch the field, top 5 RB in Blount, top 2 QB in Brady (the other is Rodgers IMO).
Seattle has the best secondary, top 5 front 7. Receivers corp is not even top 10 in the league esp. with Richardson out, Lynch is the #1 powerback, and Wilson is good at improv but defs gets carried by the rest of his team.
Seattle inches NE in every category except WR (big gap here), QB & OL IMO.
Oh, and Seattle special teams are very good.
I give edge to Seahawks by a FG.
Wilson has to play like he can though. His GB game was an outlier, he's usually much more composed than that.

The Vegas line is now -1 NE... tightest spread in superbowl history.
I ended up betting $500 on Seattle. Let's go Seahawks!!!

Couple comments. Blount is really good in NE scheme, but in no way shape or form is he a top 5 RB. He's barely a top 20 RB. He runs with a lot of power but that's all. He's got below average straight line speed, zero lateral agility, and average burst. Like I said, he fits really well in that scheme, but there is a reason he couldn't get on the field in Pittsburgh.
Brady is solidly in the top 5 QB conversation, but top 2 is a stretch. A lot of Brady is Gronk, and if you don't believe that, I'll point you to just how awful Brady was before Gronk was fully healthy at the start of the season. A weapon like that changes everything.
Seattle as a "top 5 front 7" doesn't really fly with me either. The weakness of their defence is their D-line. So while their linebackers are very good, their D-line solidly drops them out of the "top 5 front 7" conversation. I'd actually say NE front 7 is better than Seattle's.

I wish they would just start asking random questions. "Marshawn, who's your favorite Avenger?"
Pats for the win!
