Seems like a pretty good deal for you in a keeper.
So I received a tempting offer I just couldn't resist for Voracek:
I trade Voracek and S. Mason
I receive Duchene and B. Bishop
Stats are: G, A, +/-, PPP, PIM, SOG, W, SV%, GAA, SO, Yahoo H2H 12 team keep 5. Daily lineup sets, one spot out of playoffs.
Start 2C/2LW/2RW/3D/1UTIL/2G
Roster (after trade):
C- N. Backstrom, A. Henrique, M. Koivu, C. Soderberg
LW- J. Drouin, S. Downie, M. Duchene
RW- P. Kessel, J. Pomiville, J. Williams, P. Hornqvist
D- M. Streit, D. Phaneuf, A. Edler
G- B. Bishop, A. Niemi
Did I get enough value for him? My keepers would be Kessel, Backstrom, Duchene, Bishop, and a dman I could get or Drouin.

Not liking the deal actually. Voracek isn't terrible in PIM, and his SOG are going up each year, and are now over 3 per game. Duchene is hurt by the ice time logjam that exists in Colorado. Maybe this would be better if Bishop hadn't come back to earth this year like he has.
Read my just released cage match column for more on Voracek.
I don't mind it, I think Duchene is a big drop from Voracek but Bishop is equally an upgrade on Mason, and with 40% of your cats going to goalies its a reasonable move.

I hate these types of deals where I give up the best player but I guess this is the cost of doing business to upgrade your goaltending (ie trading a leading scorer that is not perceived like one). Going with Bishop as a keeper and then drafting a goalie early probably would put you in a good position for next year.

Damn, he's been running around. He was traded 3 times in 2 hours. After I traded him, He was sent with Cam Ward for Lehtonen and Kopitar, then flipped with a 4th and a 5th for Nyquist and two firsts.

Mason+Voracek for Bishop+Duchene. I like it you’re out of the running this yr. If Duchene can get back to what he was last yr, this is a crazy win.
Vorack+Ward for Lehtonen+Kopitar. OMG, this is a jackpot win for the guy receiving Kopitar. Wish you got this one, but you might not have needed a center really.
Voracek+4th+5th for Nyqvist+1st+1st is great for a rebuilding team, and for one going for the win. You can still get good players in rounds 9-10 (4-5 redraft), and 3 1st round picks in a 12 team league is great for rebuilding. The guy can keep 5 players, draft 2 goalies and then McDavid/Eichel prolly.
I would say the order I’d like these trades are:
Kopitar
Then a tie between the draft pick trade and the Duchene trade.

Voracek shouldn't be valued as the/a top scorer anyway so you probably did well here
I like it, I would've pulled the trigger on that one too.
Based on previous hot starts he's had in prior seasons, I don't have confidence that Voracek's pace is sustainable through a full season.

Good data, but I would be more inclined to look at the 2012/13 season onward, which is when he really begin to hit his stride. Before that he was just another middling 40-50 point forward.
I've owned Cek for 2 recent seasons and I can tell you for sure that he starts hot and tends to fizzle. Maybe this year he bucks the trend... who knows.
I’ve owned him to since the lockout yr and never noticed a major drop off. I just looked at his career pre and post because it was easy. So you got me thinking and I dug up the year-to-year stats.
2013-14:
Pre All-star
59GP, 15G, 25A, 40pts, 159SOG, 9.4shooting%, 0.68ppg
Post All-star
23GP, 8G, 14A, 22pts, 76SOG, 10.5Shooting%, 0.96ppg
2012-13 (lockout). I did first 2 months vs last 2 months
1st half
22GP, 8G, 16A, 24pts, 58SOG, 13.8Shooting%, 1.09ppg
26GP, 14G, 8A, 22pts, 71SOG, 19.7shooting%, 0.85ppg
2011-12 (1st year with philly)
Pre All-star
48GP, 8G, 20A, 28pts, 112SOG, 7.1Shooting%, 0.58ppg
30GP, 10G, 11A, 21pts, 78SOG, 12.8Shooting%, 0.7ppg.
His points seem to dip per game, but his shooting percentage raises every second half compared to the first. The biggest drop was from 1.09ppg to 0.85ppg in 2013, but if he got 0.85ppg in the first half that’s 19pts compared to 24pts. Not massive.
