Default Is it time to give up on James Neal?

He has been a big disappointment this year. Is it time to ditch him for a guy like Vermette?

Lol... Can't say that name without laughing... the pic.. well that just makes my day!

    Welcome.

Depending on if you're talking keeper or 1 year. I honestly don't think I'd want to move Neal in any scenario, but DEFINITELY not in a Keeper. I don't do 1 year's anymore so if Vermette seems to be out producing Neal at the moment, then perhaps it's a move.

Much easier to comment thoroughly on if we knew you entire team and league make up (including scoring cats).

You wanna ditch Neal for an older, less talented guy like Vermette? Only if you want to downgrade.

thanks guys. It is a 1 year league. standard categories.

Maybe I am over thinking it because Neal has been frustrating so far.

    I'll hold off for now

Welcome! Neal has been frustrating hasn't he? A lot of has to do with his move from Pittsburgh to Nashville in my opinion. I think that people are trying to peg him in as a 70+ scorer but he isn't in Nashville. He's more of a 50-60 point player with about 10-20 less assists. He's a little under 50 now but and could still hit 60 in my opinion.

Welcome as well. I wouldn't give up on Neal just yet and certainly not for a guy like Vermette.

To expand upon havanablast's point the term "standard cats" doesn't mean a lot to most people.
If you're going to stick around I'd encourage you to create a signature with league scoring, league rules and your full roster. That way folks giving advice will have a complete picture of what's going on. Plus, once you write you signature once you only have to update it when your roster changes.

Not sure why this would be in the injury forum, but I think it makes a difference if this is regarding a one year league or a keeper. In a keeper league you really don't want to do this. In a one year league it would be depend on what categories you have and the type of league it is. Vermette is highly ranked in certain league set ups, sp it isn't out of the question to at least consider the possibility.

Setting up a signature is pretty easy - just click on settings on the menu bar - it's right between 'my profile'and 'log out'. Then click on edit signature - takes maybe 5 minutes to complete and really helps others know what kind of situation you are in when you ask for advice. I timed my signature edit today - dropping one guy and moving one from IR to active - took me 45 seconds.

    Welcome to Dobberhockey Forums.

Thanks guys, I will keep Neal for now. He went on IR so I can pick up Vermette and decide later!

    Cheers!
