I like it. Before his injury, he showed that he was starting to fulfill alot of his offensive potential that he never got to really display in Anaheim. He also showed that the year in Edmonton was a fluke. Not to mention the chemistry that he was starting to build with his linemates. Hopefully he\'s found a home and a scenario where he can thrive.

Lupul + Briere + Richards + A healthy Gagne = Some pretty damn good offense.

started to play with an edge too. He is a great skater and pretty big, but never used that to his advantage in Edmonton.

Yea he is a big guy. You dont really think about that because he\'s mostly about the finesse and the good shot but he could be a threat in front of the net as well.

haha, lupul was so awful in edmonton that it will take a another year of good performance just to change my opinion of him.

not to say that should mean to anything to anyone else, just my own bias.

That\'s a BIG ? on the health of Gagne. I certaintly wouldn\'t go out of my way to get his fantasy services but if it was right situation he would be worth a shot on the cheap.

One player you missed on that list of good offense is Jeff Carter. He could be poised for a big season.

Well I\'ll be damned. I like this a lot. I was a bit worried that he was on the way out of Philly, what with their cap trouble and upcoming wingers, etc. He\'s a very good fit in Philly and I think he could flirt with 75 points if he stays healthy all year. He was on pace for that after half of last season before he got injured.

Now I\'m even more glad that I didn\'t draft Andreas Nodl but went with Oscar Moller instead.

No doubt. I\'m sure he\'s just one big hit in the neutral zone away from being at least an assistant captain on Dobbers band-aid boy fantsy team.

i disagree. Giroux will get 40 points this year i think... he\'s ready to make the team. The team will make room on their roster for him... Also, with a fragile gagne, there\'s no telling how high up on the depth chart Giroux will find himself.

I think giroux will start on the third line this year (2nd powerplay), and then work his way up. When knuble leaves after next year, he\'ll be a top six guy without a doubt.

if anything this helps giroux\'s value because he won\'t be thrown into the fire as much this season. He\'ll have a chance on the 3rd line to get his nhl legs (similar to guys like hudler and flip in detroit).

Giroux is going to get his ice time regardless of what happens with Gagne, Hartnell, Lupul, or whatever. He is too good for any other league.
