I personally am not sure on any particular number assignments (not sure how to model high-upside, no/little-historical data players) but I would order the 3 as such:

I just think Kucherov is an elite talent on his own. He has succeeded at every level of hockey he's played, and now he's doing it in the NHL. Just a really skilled player. His shots on goal per 60 mins is like top 10 in the league so it seems sustainable. Nelsons shooting pct is 20% which will regress, whereas Kucherov is at 14% which will probably only go down a few percentage points.Originally Posted by LakeSoup

Thank for that analysis! I hadn't looked at their SH%. I think I'll try to sell high on Nelson then, hopefully package him with someone else for something good.
Kucherov's face value probably isn't high enough to the casual manager to justify a return that offsets his underlying potential.

The worry for me with Nelson is keeping that spot on the PP as once he does I think he regresses pretty quickly - definite sell high!
