Dillema: Sit my goalies?

Hi guys,

So I have an interesting situation. Right now we count 5 goalie stats and I have 3 that I'll probably win for sure since Halak got a shutout for me early this week (GAA 0.00, SV% 1.00, SHO 1) and is the only goalie I've played so far.

My opponent is very tough this week and that would mean I'll lock down 2 stats (GAA and SV%) and possibly SHO unless his goalie pulls something out.

Niemi @CLS @CAR
Halak @FLA @TB

I know that means I throw away W and SV but it could be worth it. Thoughts? Should I play my goalies for certain matchups?

Crap - hadn't thought of that. Should have had my coffee first.

There are minimum of 3 starts so I could play limited starts across all goalies for favorable matchups or play them all and hope that Halak's SHO is enough to buoy the stats for other goalies for the rest of the week.

Wasn't his shut out less than 20 shots though? Personally I'd spot start but if there is a bad game you won't have the volume to recover ot

I'd be starting Niemi and Halak when they play - but I don't like dirty pool.

Whenever I try to be cute it bites me in the backside so I usually go with the better match up but for example last night I dressed Rask in one league hoping it's support my goalie stats but still started Bernier in two others... Glad I did now!

DailyFaceOff saved me from playing Niemi against FLA the other night by reporting that Stalock was starting so I dodged that bullet. Just wondering how to manage my goalies for the rest of the week now.

PS: Don't know if you seen the game but Rask looked pissed on the bench last night.

I did and playing his favourite team tonight won't help! I started Stalock and was happy when he hadn't actually played lol

personally I'd just use it as a head start and play them normally until maybe Saturday when you know where you stand (not dressing a goalie on a Sunday is about as cute as I get and that's only if I have no chance of moving/locked up the majority)
