    Kesler OZ% Rel is -5.08% (That's a shutdown role)
    Koivu OZ% Rel is +6.18% (That's not)

Kesler is also facing slightly tougher compeition.

    Minnesota has been unlucky.

Not to mention Koivu is taking 3.4 SOG per game but has an unlucky 4.2 shooting percentage (career avg is 8.7). The guy has taken 32 shots in the last 6 games and has one goal to show.

Oh totally, he's a 50 point lock. I just think that once you start considering that range, you can just stream the hot hand in that spot / take a look at the available FAs. Just not worth the effort IMO for a trade.
I will admit, there is a pretty big deviation in terms of his SH% atm (4.1%) compared to his previous 3yr average which is 8.4%.

And to rephrase, the entire Blues 2nd line is a good *sell-high.
When Oshie comes back and Statsny is back to prime form, I imagine Steen-Statsny-Oshie to cause the majority of the havoc. (so perhaps Oshie is a good buy-low)

And I think the entire Blackhawks team is a great buy low. P Kane, M Hossa, P Sharp, even D Keith.

As much as the Hawks are struggling I cannot see an owner of Kane, Toews, Sharp, Hossa, Keith will to "sell low" when they are a perennial powerhouse team. They will get it on track and will unlikely be desperate enough to sell low.

That said it can't hurt to ask when you see some of the trades that go through in fantasy hockey.

I think it would be easier to pry away Sharp/Hossa than Kane/Toews/Keith tbh. The former are in their mid 30s and you could make the argument that the risk involved with their age should be counted as a premium that undercuts their value.

Add Gaborik and Vanek to the list of buy-lows.

This^. If I was a Kane owner I'd chalk this up to the cost of doing business. I'm not going to start panic-selling him because he's off to a slow start.

As a Kane owner, I can confirm. Kane is not on my trading block, and anyone making an offer for him would have to ensure that I would get a significant return.

Just got Hossa in exchange for Greiss! 15 man league so goalies are scarce, his team's goalies were Enroth, Mason & Karri Ramo lol.

Craig Anderson for me as a sell high. I think the numbers level out and there is always the inevitable injury lurking just around the corner. The owners in my leagues are shopping him hard, ironically, no one is biting, at least not yet.

Varly is a good buy low right now if you need a goalie.

Given the Avs slow start and his nagging injuries you can get him somewhat cheap - I woke up to offer sending Varly my way yesterday.

Can't hurt. I'd also start to set some seeds of doubt in an owner who owns one of them by talking about the rising cap and how Chicago is going to be in a cap crunch that will lead them to have to trade someone like Oduya/Sharp to make the team fit next season. Play on fears and maybe you could loosen up one of the Chicago guys.

I don't get this, in what possible way are Lehtonen and Tank buy lows? I doubt there is a single person who automatically multiplies an unproven player's ppg in mid-november by 82 and assumes the total is a lock.

I got a thread going in the trade section but wanted a little more perspective in this buy-low / sell-high conversation...
I acquired Pietrangelo and Koivu by sending Vrbata and Trouba, in a points-only setup where I'm contending.
Did I buy low in your opinion? Or did I get caught up in their names' value?
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.
