    Default Buy Low/Sell High Candidates

Who are we looking at as some buy low or sell high candidates at this point of the season? People keep asking me about trading Voracek but I feel like he's the real deal. Who should be on our shopping lists right now?

I feel like Hossa and Shaw could be had at a bargain rate.

I'd love to sell Foligno/Soderberg for a lot more than they're worth, but they're not big names so no one is biting.

I think Miku Koivu is a good buy low... his point totals thus far do not represent how good he is... with that said... Minny stinks and doesn't score a whole lot and he is due for this annual injury soon...

    Buy Low:
    Patrick Kane
    Shea Weber (sort of)
    Taylor Hall
    Kopitar
    Sharp
    Landeskog
    McDonagh

    Sell High:
    Voracek
Nash (though I will go on the record saying I think he is back to being a contender for 70 pts)
Hornqvist (I see him as a 75 pt guy, though)
    Giordano

I would put OV on the buy low list. I know it seems crazy to call someone scoring over a point-per-game buy low but in leagues that count hits and shots he is arguably the top player to own and I don't see him getting viewed this way by all GMs.

Hartnell might be a sell high.

    Ehrhoff, Smith, Schneider, Koivu buy-lows.

Voracek is the real deal but his current pace is 1.57 PPG. I think it's pretty clear he won't continue to outpoint Crosby; I think a reasonable pace for him over the remainder of the season is around 0.85 PPG, giving him close to 90 points total. I think he's a great sell-high, but you should be looking for a Benn/Getzlaf level player who should bring around 0.9 PPG.

Koivu isn't a good buy low. He's being deployed similar to how Kesler is on Anaheim in that his primary role is to shutdown other forwards. He was a great own a few seasons ago when the next best player was PMB. With the glutton of talent Min has now, they can afford to put Koivu in that defensive role.

I agree and disagree Koviu might not score like previous years but he will surely pick it up from where he is at. You got to think he's at least a 50 point guy still....

I agree, but as an FYI, Getzlaf produces well above the 0.9 ppg mark.

He's typically produced around 1.1 ppg every season, if not more than that.

Keeperwise Barkov and Bjugstad both stick out to me in terms of buy low atm. You need some time and they won´t help in a 1 year window but long term could pan out really well.

Forsberg strikes me as a good sell high. Do I think he will be a quality NHL player? Yes. Do I think he can keep up this ridiculous pace, not so much.

Patty Kane might be a good buy low... He hasn't really lit it up like he normally does... I don't know how cheap you can get him, but worth monitoring. Malkin might be a good sell high candidate (if you are fearful that he will get hurt like he usually does.)
