Default His Eric Staal vs Nyquist/Gaudreau

    Hi,

One fella in my fantasy league considers moving Eric Staal.

Here's the names he suggested on my team :
    Gustav Nyquist
    Johnny Gaudreau
    Landeskog
    Couture

I'm currently 2nd out of 20 (point only league), but my team will slow down. I have a lot of depth, but lack fire power up front. Other than Seguin, those are probably my 4 best forwards.

Staal is a buy low candidate I believe, but I wonder where's the lowballing limit, and what's the most I'd like to pay for him as he's still stuck in Carolina for the moment.

    14 Teams, PTS Only, Salary, Full Keep, Start 2G 6D 3C 3LW 3RW
    G- Gustafsson, Korpisalo, Woll
D- Burns, Forsling, Brannstrom, Peru, Liljgren, Addison, ?, POJoseph, Jiricek
C- Barkov, Eichel, Larkin, Nelson, Rossi
LW- Marchessault, Zucc, Hagel, ?, Holtz
RW- Terry, Tarasenko, Pavelski, Kakko, Brink

    18 teams, PTS Only, Top G, Top4 D, Top10 F, Full Keep with a twist
    G- Shest, Luukkanen
D- Seider Dunn Hedman Pionk Brannstrom Peru
F- Scheifele Reinhart JT Miller Hyman Malkin Lindholm Zucc Giroux Marchmant Hartman Bjorkstrand Krebs T Raddysh Jeannot Brink Poulin Perreault Cristall

I'd take a chance on moving landeskog for Staal but not the others. last time I checked, Staal had no points tonight on 5 sog, 17+ mins of ice. Keep logan couture and the others...
Hockey Pools? Too many to mention. Points only, salary cap and dynasty.

I'd do it for Nyquist or for Gaudreau with confidence and would definitely not do it for landeskog or couture. Even though he's older than those younger players, Staal has a massive upside that you shouldn't ignore.

He's probably going to ask for 2-for-1, which I don't care as I have depth.

Would both Nyquist AND Gaudreau be too much?

    Waayyyy too much!

I'd keep Nyquist over Staal. Don't let the naysayers get to you, Nyquist is a star on the rise!

I would do it for either Lando or Nyquist.

Do not move Couture for him and a 2 for 1 would be to high of a price imo.

I would not accept for both of them. Theres still some solid talent in those two players. Maybe try a Nyquist/Giordano? Or do a draft pick swap as well. Be weary of the owner who plays the "sell low" card but continues to raise the price.
