    Default Brodie or Letang?

I've been offered in separate deals either Brodie or Letang for my Nichushkin. Is it a no brainer to take Letang over Brodie? As you can tell in my Sig my defense is awful but also I'm loaded with Penguins...should that factor into my decision at all? thanks in advance.

if your trading nichuskin then yes i would say brodie over letang do to letangs history with injuries, im optimistic he will play an entire season but optimism is all it is, but i would try and trade nichuskin in a package for an higher level d-man, maybe someone like pietrangelo

Judging purely based on the fact your team has Crosby, Malkin AND Stamkos, I'm going to say your leaguemates are probably not the most educated fantasy hockey players out there so I'd go for broke and try to get someone with a longer history of production than Brodie without the injuries of Letang. Hype Nichuskins potential and goal scoring ability (most heavily weighted skater stat in your league). If you can't I'd take Brodie over Letang. Brodie should be a solid 40-50 point guy for the next while and Letang is lucky to play 40-50 games a year.

I'm taking Letang easy here. Brodie is off to a great start and he plays with Gio but you gotta go Letang here if for the simple reason that he holds higher perceived value. It's much easier to convince someone that Letang is a top 15 defenseman than convincing them that Brodie is top 30.

I'd take Letang over Brodie, and then cross fingers regarding injuries.

If Letang's history of health issues weren't a concern this wouldn't even be up for discussion. Letang is a gamble. When he plays, he's one of the leagues best offensive Dmen, but he can be frustrating to own as well. When he's healthy, he is worth way more than Nichushkin.

The way the Penguins are clicking right now, I don't think it's a bad thing to own all kinds of Penguins.

    Letang for me.

Letang, even if he plays 60 games you are still getting around 45 points.

It depends how much you value consistency, since your league is H2H I'm guessing that might be more important to you than in a roto league.

Personally I'd take Brodie because I prefer players who play all their games and produce for me on a regular basis. The Calgary D is looking a lot like Nashville or Arizona (where they'll be near the top in team scoring). I think Brodie gets 45-50 pts this season which is Letang's career best.

I would be adding Letang as well. Going to get 45pts in 60 games, if 75 games might get 70 pts. Go with the firepower in Pitt. More 4 pt night out there for him.

With the players around letang he will sleep walk I to points if he stays healthy - Brodie has started well but can he and the Flames keep it up? I doubt it

I don't agree with this statement. How do you know Letang doesn't stay healthy all season long this year (I know, its a reach but still possible) and Brodie doesn't go down next game with a season ending injury? Injuries can happen so random how can anyone know who will play any amount of games. I want the best player possible and if injuries happen then there's little you can do about it. Comparing theses two, Letang is the best player.
