    Default Oh that's so Tarasenko

What a beautiful goal by Tarasenko tonight against NYR.
I am very curious to hear what everyone's thoughts and predictions about his upside. Any predictions for this year and the next few would help, can he be a 40-40 guy? Is that even possible playing in STL?

If someone could post a link that would be great!(rep) Not sure how to do it off my phone

Thanks boys.. And less likely thanks girls.

I see 35-35 as pretty close to the ceiling in STL. With their system and Hitchcock rolling 3 lines at very even ice time it'll be tough. His PP time is set but until he leaves STL or they ditch Hitch, which I doubt either happens I'm the next few years, he'll be a 70pt threat but I don't see 80.

Best 155th overall pick I’ll ever do that’s what he is. His ceiling is as high as the St Louis team will allow I think. He’s only going to get 30goals 30 assists max if he gets thrown on the 3rd line again once the team is healthy. I hope they don’t, but Oshie comes back to the 1st line, then Lindstrom gets knocked off that. So you have Lindstrom (1st line now) and Tarasenko(2nd line now) battling for the 2nd line position. Should be interesting how Hitchcock handles this. Especially because Tarasenko did not waste his opportunity.

Goal of the year so far. He's as smooth as they come. I'd say he hits 60 this year (30+ goals).

was there last night (w Ross) ..incredible goal, one of the best ive ever seen live

then he won it in the SO ..this guy is amazing, and if he can keep it up, he'll be the X-Factor the Blues so desperately need.
The way he was moving last night, I dont see why he can't top 70 pts (except for Hitch...)

Beauty goal... though the Rags defense is got to be on confused-island right now.
That reminded me of the Detroit player last year (Nyquist or Tatar?)... who made a GIF made of him disappearing between defensemen (vs. DAL?).
Similar plays - but mercy, that's dangerous shit dangling at full speed through defenders like that.

One Scott Stevens or Ulf Samuelsson cross-over and bye-bye career.
    Be safe Tank.

I posted this in a related thread. I was at the Rangers Blues game last night as Tripel mentioned, so had the privilege to see that Tarasenko goal firsthand, it was awesome. But it doesn't end there, he was a threat every single time he had the puck, and the Blues are starting to look for opportunities to just feed him and watch him go, which is a bit contrary to how Hitchcock has set up the team to date but man I think it's going to work. The guy is good. Another guy who looked great was Steen, what a player.

BTW a goal that was sadly overshadowed by Tarasenko's beauty was the 3rd Rangers goal, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxX_3nXgP8A. Sweet sweet saucer pass and St Louis sweeps it in while the puck is just about to hit the ice, gorgeous. And look at what Marty does after he dishes the puck to Nash inside his own blue line, he takes off like a rocket and heads straight for the net, that's how you score goals in the NHL.

Yeah, I guess Tarasenko is okay. He may not be as naturally gifted as Datsyuk, but he's hard working!! lol Glenn Healey you suck!
