I think you may have miss-read due to biased clowdy Turdis vision. I said GIVES UP a lot of shots. As in, the opposing team has lots of shot attempts against the Sens when Turris is on the ice. So, I'm saying that Turris maybe isn't the defensive monster 2-way player that some people give him credit for.
    Advanced stats are cool.

    apologies.....good point.....

to the people defending turdis based on his defensive play? heres a tidbit.....NHL scouts dont burn top 5 picks on DEFENSIVE forwards......they want PTS!!!

i stand by my assertion that wickenheiser shoots the puck harder than turdis

One player doesn't control that. Turris is very good defensively.

He’s on a 50+pt pace for the last 3 seasons. That’s not bad. Busts in that draft were Wyatt Hope, Plante, Gilles, Cherepanov (well he died the next yr), MacMillan, Esposito, Riley nash, Blum, White, Petrecki, O’Brien, Nick Ross. 12/30 1st rounders are guys people don’t even know.

He’s on pace again for 50some-odd points this yr. Is he as great as Kane and JVR from that draft? Nope, but let’s think of this, JvR has the same output as Turris in the last 3 years. Is JvR a bust?

Turris has the 11th most points from his draft class. That's very respectable for a guy who's development was harmed by no fault of his own.
He also has the 3rd best Corsi (5on5) on Ottawa who have been a negative posession team.
    So......
    Not bust.
But this is a funny thread.

    i just state facts

people stating hes not a bust is no different than saying the sky is red.....back it up.....stats leadership FACTS...everything points to Turdis being not worthy of a 3rd overall pick

mats zuccarello outpointed him last year!!!!!! SHAME!!!!!!!!

The fact that these threads are sporadic is what makes them epic. I don't want the other attention seekers that post more frequently to go full TM and start these threads daily...
