Yahoo's IR+ slot?
So I was under the impression that if you placed a player in the IR+ slot, you could grab another FA. But I guess this isn't true?
Right now I've got Hedman and Stepan on IR, and just moved Stastny to IR+. Shouldn't I be able to get another FA for Stastny?
I checked Yahoo's help section and didn't see a clear answer...

If you have a player that is DTD or IR he can be moved to the IR+ spot provided you have enough spots. For instance in my league we have 1 IR and 1 IR+ spot so I can have a DTD guy in the IR+ spot and a guy on IR in the IR spot.
Does that make sense/help?

Yes you should. I did it two days ago when I moved Eric Staal to the IR+ and picked up a free agent to fill the gap until he returns. Do you have daily or weekly locks on your roster? Does it give you an error message or anything?

Yup, you should be able to add a guy if you move one to IR+.
However, if it is a "weekly lock" league or if your roster is full for tomorrow (say)... those might be reasons why it isn't working.
I'm guessing it is something like that.

I'm the league commish and we use daily line-ups.
There's no error message that pops up... But when I try to add someone, it asks for which player I should drop.

I've got Hedman and Stepan in the IR slots (both actually on real-life IR)... and now Stastny in IR+ since he's now listed "Day to Day".
So they're in the right spots.
Oh and I'm doing this on my desktop CPU, so no fluky app to blame on this...

Have you set your lineups beyond today? If so, after putting Stastny in the IR+ slot today, is he there tomorrow as well? Sometimes I've had to place them on the IR/IR+ for multiple days to ensure the system recognises it. If Stastny is not in your IR+ slot tomorrow, move him there (and any subsequent days you set your lineup in advance) and then try again.

I JUST FIGURED IT OUT!!
Geez...
So I had to move Hedman from IR to IR+... and also Stastny from the regular line-up to the IR+ for both TODAY *AND* TOMORROW.
If you don't make the switch for both days, you won't be able to pick anyone up. So Pengwin7, you were on to something with the thought of a full lineup for tomorrow.
Takes a little brain surgery to make that work, I guess...

You only needed to move stastny to IR for tomorrow's lineup and didn't need to touch hedman. The reason for this is because all FA/Waiver pickups take effect for tomorrow's lineup, so since stastny wasn't on IR for tomorrow, there was no room to pick up anyone.
