Is it just me or is he a no brainer for Toronto to sign?
He\'s the right age, he\'s local and he was close to a point a game last season when healthy...

Has any heard anything about him?

I doubt Chicago is interested anymore as his spot was filled effortlessly last season, so what gives? Why has no one signed him yet?

If I was toronto I wouldn\'t sign him because I\'d be looking to tank.

    I\'m glad I\'m not toronto.

I don\'t know why any leaf fans would try and predict what the organization will do. But if I was trying to predict, I\'d come up with the best plan I could come up with and then do the opposite.

It makes sense for the Leafs to sign Williams so they will:

    A.) Walk away from him.
B.) Offer him 9 million per and the \"C\".

As a Leaf fan I really wish I had a comeback...

he is soft, incompetent defensively, and apparently not the best locker room guy. That all being said, he is a solid PP guy and is very skilled... I think some teams have him as a Plan B option at this point.

I am sooooooooooo glad he\'s not a Red Wing any more. I had nightmares about him playing the point on the powerplay long after he had been traded.

So angus what is the Canucks plan B option assuming sundin doesn\'t sign?

If he does sign who plays with him Demitra and...?

I\'m not sure if Raymond is ready for a top 6 fulltime role yet.

Would be interested in what your thoughts are.

Raymond is ready. Wellwood is an option, and Shannon to a lesser extent. If Sundin doesn\'t come, they will swing a deal for another foreward.

I don\'t think they\'ll swing a deal for anyone... Angus you got your head on your shoulders but they only guys they could trade for good return is bieksa and edler...and they aren\'t gonna trade either of those guys, simply \'cus they don\'t have the depth to do so. Raymond is not ready for a top 6 role yet... but he may be able to handle it...and by \"ready\" i mean not having top 6 forward potential. He has a ton of skill and the wheels to get him there, but not the NHL brain to make him so yet... but he will be played as a to p6 forward unless SUndin gets signed and then i see a top line of wellwood-sundin-demitra witha second line of sedin-sedin-bernier... raymond will be good but being canuck fans we overrate him.. and he really isn\'t all that good...more talent than most non-canuck fans think, but less than most canuck fans think....

I was going to dump him this season but given the possibility of life in OTT, I will hang on and expect 50-60 pts in about the same amount of games.

Deadon Raymond\'s head is behind his legs, but will probably catch up, but always a chance of being a Rico Fata (albeit a very small one, I see him scoring 70 points in 3 years time but this year is still a big learning curve for him)
