I do find it fascinating that some players receive dual-eligibility without having played a single game.
The only thing I can figure is that the data provider receives conflicting position designations for a player from multiple sources (eg. the Kings and the NHL), so they decide to hedge their bets and give them both.

Just saw an encouraging report saying he's skating at practice this week but wasn't expected to play last nite, Thursday...he's working out, staying fit, etc, etc. Maybe next week? I desperately need him.

Really hard to speculate without knowing the nature of the injury. If he was concussed it could be next week or next month, who knows?
