The exact same quote was for Patty Maroon too and he's got at least three weeks til he's back: "Patrick Maroon was activated from the IL on Thursday October 23.

Also saw it had said Johan Franzen played yesterday, but he it did not. Rotoworld is being a little screwy it looks like...

Staal (upper-body) is on the ice for the Hurricanes optional skate.
Staal has been out for nearly two weeks because of an upper-body injury. The Hurricanes are taking on the Oilers tonight, but Staal is not expected to be in the lineup yet. They have three days off in between games so he will likely get the weekend off and could be back next Tuesday.

Yahoo/rotoworld has been out of control today. They erroneously declared several players as coming off the IR, as well as Voynov being reinstated by the NHL. They might have been hacked, otherwise someone has done a REALLY sloppy job today.

Oct 28 return was the original prognosis so this seems to agree with that. Look for Staal to return against the 'Nucks.

I need to set my lineups this afternoon for the week... and it's either gamble on a staal return, or start andrew shaw for 4 games.

Pretty sure he didn't travel on their road trip so that puts him at the weekend at the earliest and they might not want to give him a back-to-back to get things going so you're looking at one game this week. Probably safe to get four from Shaw.
