    Default Sam Reinhart

So he's starting the season as the #2 center in BUF it seems according to various reports. Just wondering what you guys think of this year for him.

Will he stick with the club?
Will he get PP time or mostly PK if anything?
    Possible point projection/stat line?

Debating adding him to the league in my sig.

I think he gets sent down just before the trial period of games played hits. He'll get a taste of NHL life, get some experience but then get sent down to the AHL for the remainder of the season.

He would be sent back to his junior club as he is ineligible to play in the AHL due to his age.

Yes. Correct. Good catch, I get confused sometimes on who can go to Junior and who can go to the A.

Ya. If he had played in a pro league (like some of the younger Europeans), he'd be eligible for the AHL. Nylander for example, is eligible for the A.

What a foolish rule.. But I see him playing in the WHL this year, and playing for Team Canada at Christmas time..

I can't imagine Reinhart will stick all season in the NHL. This is a trial run for the #2 overall pick, nothing more. The Sabres learned from rushing Grigorenko, centers need some time.

I think the rule is in place between the NHL and Canadian junior leagues so that the junior teams can keep star players.

I guess I can accept that.. Young Euro's shouldn't get the upper hand though and get to play against men in the AHL though..

    I expect him to stick.

This kid was the most NHL ready player in the draft this year.
